Itโs back to school time and that means one thing โฆ lots of germs. With so many kiddos in close quarters, thereโs always some new cold floating around. So, Iโve put together a bunch of tips you & your kids can do on their own to stay healthy!
Wash your hands. In a perfect world, children would wash their hands many times a day in school. In the real world, the most important times to wash are after using the bathroom and before eating, drinking, or touching their mouth, eyes, or nose!
- My favorite to carry around, these easy wipes
- And if you kept scrolling in that blog an easy DIY hand sanitizer
- Or the easy button, made for you no alcohol Hand Sanitizer
- The soap in restrooms isn't always the best, take your favorite foaming soap on the go!
Get plenty of sleep. The best way for any of us to boost our immunity is with sleep and most kids donโt get enough. Aim for 8-10 hours a night.
- Adults should have 7 or more hours. Yes, you read that correctly!
- A few Nighttime Routine Tips
Eat a healthy breakfast. Itโs easy to opt for convenience, especially on busy mornings. But filling our bodies with nutrient-rich foods can help fight off viruses.
Bring your own pencil box and remember not to share. I know weโre always telling kids to share but mayyyybe skip it during cold and flu season. Kids often want to share lip balm, brushes, drinks, and all kinds of stuff so itโs best to counsel them not to share.
Pack a water bottle. Kids are usually too busy having fun to worry about hydrating so send them with their own bottle they can keep at their desks to remind them to drink up!
- Same goes for the adults!
- Better hydrated we all are the healthier we will be
- Hydrated body = hydrated skin = less wrinkles!
