Only 10% of Cancers are hereditary,
that leaves 90% linked to environmental factors.
No matter what your age, lifestyle choices can go a long way toward lowering health risks and helping you live the life you want. Exercise and fitness coupled with a healthy diet can make a big difference in your health. However one segment rarely talked about are the environmental toxins impacting our health.
When thinking about women's health, there's a lot to consider. Knowing the diseases and conditions that are among the top health risks for women, such as heart disease and breast cancer, is important. But for many women, effectively managing other matters that affect daily health, such as premenstrual syndrome, birth control, fertility, menopause and more, also is key to enjoying a healthy life.
Beauty should not come at the expense of your health.
Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women after skin cancer. There are more than 20 lymph nodes (small lumps of tissue that are part of the body's lymphatic system, which helps fight infection) in the armpit. These lymph nodes normally cannot be felt through the skin.
The lymphatic system is part of the immune system. It keeps body fluid levels in balance and defends the body against infections.
Alright so broken down, your armpits are meant to help you detox your lymphatic system with is like your garbage disposal of the body.
So even though we don't like to be sweaty or stinky, those two can indicate when something is wrong but not always.
Why are so many human's unhealthy?
Our lymphatic system is no longer working properly due to all the environmental toxins we are exposed to daily.
When it comes to the armpit it's typically the deodorant which is causing the most disruption. The majority of the deodorant marked includes aluminum, parabens {the suffix}, and phthalates {typically hidden inside the ingredient labeled fragrance or perfume}.
- Aluminum: linked to breast cancer, prostate cancer, and increased risk of Alzheimer's
- Parabens: can disrupt hormones in the body, harm fertility and reproductive organs, affect birth outcomes, and increase the risk of cancer. They can also cause skin irritation
Alright, so let's get you on the path to cleaning up your routine.
Gone are the days of hippie deodorants or even worse, no deodorant at all. You can have happy, healthy armpits and not smell like "that kid" from high school.
