How to Switch to Natural Deodorant

Hopefully you're reading this and your package has arrived.  I'll walk thru some of the steps including tips but please reach out with any questions.  Over the years I've learned a lot from when I switched to when others have made the switch.  I've even had some pictures of armpits texted to me.  So anything goes with the questions!

Tips on the bar soap.  Definitely cut it into 3-4 chucks using one at a time.  It will extend the life.  Also allowing it to dry between uses extends it's life which can be accomplished by using a slotted soap dish or placing away from water in the shower.

Washing your pits with the tea tree, charcoal, or prebiotic body wash helps to fight the bacteria.

Bacteria is what gives us the odor.  Everyone's transition is different but our pits are designed to perspire so we never know what might come out of the pits when we reduce the use of products which are clogging them up.

When you first open up the body polish you'll notice oils sitting on top, take a knife or spoon to stir up and mix the oils and sugars together.

Our products do not include the chemical binders many other products do so separation is natural.

Also, if you use it in the shower keep out of the reach of water and the lid on.  Introduction of water into the jar can melt the sugar.

Take approximately dime size to scrub each pit.  This helps to exfoliate the skin and the oils also hydrate the area.  This is also a good time to do that self exam of the pits to check for lumps or bumps.

Might as well use some extra and exfoliate your arms, legs, elbows, feet, or any dry spots from the neck down.  Doing this 1-3 times a week.

We do not recommend using this on your face because the sugar crystals are to abrasive for our thin facial skin.

After you've stepped out of the shower and have dried off.

Apply a small amount of healing elements to each pit.

The soothing ingredients will help with reduce or minimize irritations.  Plus add a layer of hydration.

Tip:  If you shower at night you do not need to apply deodorant before bed.  Also, if you don't have plans and will be at home for a day just apply healing elements to allow your pits to breathe.  Not required but has been helpful for some people.

But as you can see by the graphic it can be used for many other things around the house as well.  I carry the travel stick in my purse because you just never know what you might need it for.

For the stick deodorants use as a normal deodorant.  A couple quick swipes on each pit does the trick.

Or maybe you selected the deodorant paste.  Using the tips below this jar should last one person 4-6 months.

REMINDER:  When you first receive the paste be sure to stir completely.  Using a knife or craft stick to get the whole jar stirred up because the shea butter & baking soda like to separate.   Taking the flat side of your utensil & pushing down in the center of the jar can help start the process as the top can be crumbly sometimes.

Shouldn't have to remix it but if you start to feel dry or see separation it doesn't hurt to give it another good mix.

Take a pea size amount to apply to each pit.  Can apply with the mini spatula that came on the lid or use your fingers to apply.  I actually use a craft stick as I tend to break the spatula for whatever reason, lol.

TIP:  When applying paste slide onto skin as if you are icing a cake or cupcake.  It does not need to be rubbed into the skin.  It will quickly melt into the skin.  If there's white film, you used too much.

And there you have it!  You are on your way to having Healthier, Happier Pits!

I recommend doing Steps 1, 2, and 3 for 2-3 weeks as you first switch over.  Typically you should start to feel a notice.  And I'm always a email, text, or call away to answer any questions.

I do still use the body polish on my pits even 3+ years later because it makes shaving feel so much better.  And I will go days of just wearing Healing Elements or Restore balm...sometimes on purpose and others by accident.  I use the Prebiotic Body Wash as that helping with my PH and bacteria balance I'm not sure how long one might want to use the bar soap.  However if you start to get stinky that would be a sign to clean them up & fight that bacteria.  The tea tree and lemongrass essential oils have natural anti bacterial properties which help in that fight of the stinky bacteria.

When you are throwing yourself a pitty party thinking it's not working that's when you email or text me so we can chat!  I want you to have happy, healthy pits!  Your future healthy will thank you!
