Which soap to pick?

Disclaimer:  I tried to put this together while I didn't have internet service so if I missed something please reach out.  If there's typos or grammar errors, well that's normal.  lol

It's hard to believe almost 7 years ago, my hands were changed by a soap.  Perhaps some lotion too, lol.  For far to many years my hands were dry, I was constantly reapplying lotion.  They would crack & bleed at times.  There was a Prebiotic Hand Wash in my enrollment kit so I started using that at home.  After awhile I noticed I wasn't applying nearly as much lotion as I had been.  Then I started to notice my skin was actually soft, I'm not even sure when the last time I had soft skin was.  So I was hooked!  And as I'll share later on, I watched the video below on sulfates and that definitely made me start switching over all my products.

In a course of four to six months, I donated over 50lbs of lotions, shampoos, & other items to a local shelter as I was not going to be using the junk filled products as I was enjoying how my skin felt.

So let's dive into which soap should you pick?

Listen in to my ramblings from a few years back...

Since Lemongrass Spa products lack sulfates many say they miss the bubbles.
A few tips to get bubbles:
- Prebiotic Hand Wash also works great for bubble bath
- Shake the bottle before dispensing (noticeable with the body wash)
- For body wash, face wash, & shampoo rubbing in the palms before applying may get some suds action
- If you’re really missing subs the bar soaps can get you bubbles naturally!

Please note you will still get clean even without all the suds. All the suds was a marketing campaign way back in the day. Oh the things big money can influence us to do!

Let's dive into my first pick...

You've most likely heard of Probiotics which many people take as a supplement for gut health. Well Prebiotics feed the good bacteria. The more good bacteria the healthier our skin & overall the healthier we are!

I don’t know why the color is off in the photos but glad I can keep wearing these shoes 👟 there were rather dirty!
Pretreated with Prebiotic Hand Wash, tossed in washer (using a dab of Prebiotic Hand Wash as detergent), air dried!
Tada!!

Microfiber cloth Tip!!!
Both of these cloths have been through the washing machine! I just can’t seem to get the junk off that way!
Washed with Tea Tree and Citrus Prebiotic Hand Wash!!! I scrubbed the cloth on the left and it got all the other junk off that the washing machine could not!
When in doubt grab Prebiotic Hand Wash 🙌🏼
What have you cleaned with it?

Clean your makeup brushes

Prebiotic Body Wash

Prebiotics help to balance the pH level by feeding the good bacteria on your skin and in turn protects from environmental factors (like pollution, cigarette smoke, and viruses)? 🙋‍♀️
🗣 Healthy pH levels really do go a long way in staving off bacteria and viruses.
➡️ In fact, in-house testing on the tea tree prebiotic hand soap comes in at a 7 and prebiotic body wash 6.5 — so great in terms of alkalinity. 💚
By the way, all products from Lemongrass Spa do fall in the PH neutral category! 💝
Grab a bottle & get to using it!  Results can be seen in 2 weeks to a month....unless skin is in bad shape might take longer.

Foaming Soap

Foaming soap is a cool phenomenon where you get bubbles without the bad ingredients! Interestingly enough it takes about two weeks to create a batch.

My friend Kim (mom of 2 littles & 3 dogs) discovered the not so clean rug can be CLEAN again.
While she was away her husband used this Tea Tree & Citrus hand soap in the carpet steam cleaner to clean up an accident.
They’ve used the bissel cleaner numerous times for spilled coffee, juice, random kid and dog things.
But never ever has it cleaned this well 😳
There’s your tip for cleaning up holiday accidents or if you just want to refresh around the house.
PS : Foaming refills are available!

Update:  All three cleaned remarkably well!  There are shadows because of windows in the room.

They used this carper cleaner.  Putting 1.5oz of foaming soap with the water.

Bonus Tip:

Stylish & money saving tip on the Prebiotic & Foaming Soaps!
Take advantage of the REFILLS.....grab one of those mason jars sitting in the cupboard & put it to work!

Bar Soaps

A fan favorite these handcrafted, natural bar soaps are packaged in recyclable, plastic-free kraft boxes, the bar soap comes ready to gift.

Whom do you know could switch from mass produced, chemical laden bars to a sulfate, gluten, junk filler, and synthetic fragrance free bars?

  • Charcoal Detox Facial Bar Soap
    • This can be used as a body soap as well.  Great for keeping stinky pits under control.

  • Tea Tree Facial Bar Soap
    • This can be used as a body soap as well.  Great for keeping stinky pits under control.

  • Honey Glow Hand & Body Bar Soap
    • Bar features gluten free oatmeal for a mild exfoliation.  It's great for dry skin or ezcema.
  • Lemongrass Signature Hand & Body Bar Soap
    • This was the first bar soap offered by Lemongrass Spa.  Lemongrass essential oil is the owner's favorite scent and the feature of this bar soap.
  • Lavender Goat's Milk Facial Bar Soap
    • This can be used as a body soap as well.
  • Spearmint Eucalyptus Hand & Body Bar Soap
    • This bar is loved for the scent and beautiful color.  Infused with essential oils as mentioned in it's name.  Then naturally colored with mica.
  • Clean Slate Hand & Body Bar Soap
    • Cedarwood and bay rum are mellowed with amber and citrus, to keep him handsome and fresh from head to toe
    • Turns out this has become a favorite among ladies too.

Just look at how much love there is for the bar soaps! Three of them were top sellers last year!

Bonus Tip:

Cut the bar soap into 3 to 4 chunks. It will make them easier to handle especially in the shower as well help them last longer. Best to not let them sit in water as they will breakdown quickly.

And they are fairly soft, usually can cut with a butter knife.
