Celebration Fruit Salad

This one is for the adults!  

 

Recipe:


2lbs strawberries
1 pint blueberries 
6oz blackberries 
Rinse fruit. Cut strawberries into fourths.  Add to a large bowl with lid. 
Mix up in a small bowl:

2 tsp lemon juice 
2 tsp organic maple syrup 
2 tsp Grand Marnier (substitute orange juice)
Pour over bowl of fruit.  Shake bowl gently.  Put in fridge to chill. Then enjoy! 





This salad has more to celebrate....all the healthy benefits of the berries.  

When in doubt, eat berries!  

All the berries not just these!


Tip:  Sure organic is safe & healthy but if you can't afford or get organic, fresh is fabulous, and when fresh isn't available frozen will still deliver these same benefits.  Just steer clear of dried fruit as it tends to have added sugar....yes, that's different than the natural sugars in the fruit which is healthy for you.
