Start or end each day with "I am thankful for......"


Here are some additional ideas to find your inner soulstice.

  • Self Care is a buzz word but it’s really important to your physical, mental, and emotional health
    •  Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health.
    • Self-care increases our overall health physically, mentally, and emotionally. 
    • Women tend to believe that we always have to be productive

  • Consequences of poor self-care
    • Loss of concentration and focus
    • Overwhelming exhaustion
    • Mood fluctuations
    • Feeling depressed and/or anxious
    • Tense muscles due to stress
    • Strained relationships
    • Excessive worrying
    • Feeling guilty
    • Get sick more often

  • Benefits of self-care
    • Keeps your immune system from getting run down 
    • Improves energy so that you can be more active and exercise
    • Your ability to focus improves increasing your productivity
    • Reduces your risk of heart disease, stroke, and cancer
    • Gets you out of survival mode and allows you to experience more joy

  • Ideas for summer self-care when everyone is home
    • Get up early and go for a walk
      • Walks amongst mother nature are some of the best exercise you can get
    • Don’t overschedule your days- intentionally leave “white space” in your calendar to allow time to decompress and catch up
      • Give yourself time to breathe
    • Drink water - get yourself a fun drinking vessel to make it enjoyable!
    • Get enough sleep - it'll all be there waiting for you tomorrow!
    • Get some Vitamin D
    • Tidy up your home - straightening up physical aspects can bring clarity
    • Digital detox
    • Skip your makeup routine
    • Meditate
    • Journal
    • Get enough sleep
    • Get help from your kids
      • Kids thrive on routine and work benefits them as well. Give them a daily/weekly chore list to take something off your plate and give them the opportunity to experience the satisfaction that comes from accomplishing a task.
    • Go get a pedicure or a massage.  Tons of health benefits with massage....they don't just feel good ;) 
    • Take a bath and diffuse your favorite essential oils or homemade bath bombs.
    • Enjoy an energy-boosting tea or fruit drink

Hopefully these will bring you some relaxation and rejuvenation the next time you are traveling!
