Spring
Break presents the unique beauty challenge of wanting to look effortlessly
gorgeous but with as few products as possible. Firstly, travel means your space
is limited. Secondly, nobody wants a full face of heavy makeup in the sun—it’s
a nightmare for your pores and a little too “try-hard” for a relaxing vacation.
Today,
I’m sharing my spring break beauty essentials and the beauty products I bring
with me when I travel!
Hair
1. Dry shampoo

Body
The 3 travel essentials we always need an organic lip balm, lotion, and healing elements balm. If you are not familiar with healing elements balm it's the go to for skin irritations from bug bites, sunburn, eczema, rashes, and more!

Ok I'm sneaking in this fan favorite not necessarily to travel with but we all need it before we go & when we return. You will want to use it to scrub away dry, dead skin off your feet so they are sandal ready. Then use it from the neck down to get rid of all the dry winter skin & reveal a glowing new skin. And if you aren't aware it's a great pre-shave treatment!
Here's a few other uses:
9. Organic Skin and Nail Balm TSA Approved Size
The main ingredient is petroleum (petrolatum, mineral oil) which is usually used in cosmetics and personal care products to moisturize. And because it's CHEAP!
However, petroleum is a by-product of crude oil. So not only does that pose environmental concerns, it can actually become contaminated with carcinogenic chemicals called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) if it's not properly refined.
The EU only allows it in cosmetics “if the full refining history is known and it can be shown that the substance from which it is produced is not a carcinogen.” Not the same case here in the U.S.!
On top of that, petroleum sits on the Skin & doesn't allow skin to breathe. Ever notice when you apply it to your lips, you feel the need to KEEP reapplying it?
It makes a seal that doesn't allow moisture in OR out. Plus can be easily rubbed off! Again do you feel like you are constantly replying certain products?
