Clean Your Makeup Brushes

Just about everyday we grab our makeup brushes without thinking.  However when was the last time you cleaned your brushes?

Previous brushes I've had and tried to wash generally ruined the brushes.  Yet, when you don't clean the brushes bacteria will hangout & then that goes on your face.

Now I've found these incredible brushes which I can wash & they are like brand new after washing!  Check out this short  video on how quick & easy it is. 

Here's the breakdown...

Grab a small bowl

If you have a silicone  face  scrubber it speeds up cleaning time

Grab your Tea Tree & Citrus Prebiotic Hand Wash

Scrub the brush on the silicone face scrubber till brush  & water run clear in water.    If you don't have the silicone face scrubber you can use your hand or the bowl, it may take a little longer to get all the makeup out of the brush.  It can be done as I did numerous times till I found the silicone face scrubber trick.

Once your brush runs clean in the water & you don't see any residue on the bristles it's time to dry.  I typically set them on a towel to air dry (not in the bathroom as it doesn't seem like enough air circulation to dry fast enough).   Generally if I wash in the morning they are dry by the next day.  

I've had the same kabuki brush for 2 years and each time I wash it still comes back looking brand new!    Oh and how can I leave out that these brushes are so affordable.  A one time investment that truly pays for it's self.
