Homemade Kettle Corn



Ingredients:


2 tbsp vegetable oil

1/2c sugar

1/2c popcorn kernals

Popcorn salt to taste



How to:

Over medium high heat, heat the oil in a 3qt pan.

Sprinkle in 2-3 popcorn kernels.

When kernels pop add the 1/2c sugar and 1/2c popcorn kernels.

Cover with a lid.

Shake the pan over the heat while the popcorn pops.

When the popping stops, remove the pan from the heat.

Immediately pour the hot popcorn into a bowl. (use caution, very hot)

Stir as it cools.

Try to remove any old maids with a spoon or fork.

The popcorn will be hot & sticky so be very careful not to burn yourself.

The popcorn should be lightly coated with a beautiful amber caramel.

Salt the kettle corn to taste and serve.
